Q. What printing method do you use?
Our printing process uses a Thermal (heated) print head to apply a pigmented medium (foil) to the ribbon. This makes a permanent bond that does not rub off, you can touch it and it stays put. If you iron it, it may bleed and smudge, and it is not meant to be washed, but will not run if wet and withstands the weather. ***We do have a washable black foil for garment tags.
Q. Will I incur a special charge for print dies?
No special dies or stamps are needed. Our print process works with a computer generated file that we can store for you for future orders.
Q. Why can’t you print my desired font on my ribbon order?
Printing on a ribbon is not the same as printing on paper. The ribbon is composed of a woven material and is not flat. It has some areas that are higher than others and often very thin lines get lost in the ridges created by the weave of the ribbon. Linework less than one or two pixels wide is often too thin to print fully on the ribbon. Please keep this in mind when selecting a font style.
Q. Can I have my logo printed in full color?
We offer one color printing. The process we use does not allow for multiple colors to be printed as each color would require successive passes through the printer. Due to an uneven winding of the print foil and ribbon, it would not be possible to properly re-align the ribbon to print another color.
Q. Can I have my logo printed on my ribbon?
Word Logos can be printed on most ribbon sizes.
Picture Logos work best on 1 3/4” or larger ribbon sizes.
Some stacked logos will need to be separated from the wording to print on smaller ribbon.
Logos that are not sent to me in a solid black on a white background in photo format require conversion and therefore cost more. Some Logos may not print well as designed and may need to have the words printed next to the picture, or the words may be too small to print well and need to be resized.
*All logo alterations need to be preapproved by the customer before printing.
Q. What format do you require my logo to be in?
LOGO & Clip Art Artwork: Please send your logo and clip art as a black image on white background. Black prints White is invisible. (Shades of Black & Color images do not print well.) For best results a vector image (not pixelated) 300 DPI photo format JPEG, or PNG work best.
Please send original artwork.
Please do not send copies of artwork taken from the web as the quality is often not a sharp image and many times is too blurred or pixelated to use.
Please do not send me color or gray images as they will need to be converted to black & white to send to the printer.
Q. How long will it take to process my order?
At present normal processing time is 3 to 5 days plus shipping time.
Standard shipping is an additional 3 to
5 days.
Priority Shipping is 2-3 days.
Express Shipping is 1-2 days.
These times may increase during Holidays and peak order times, especially in December.
Q. What if I want to order several rolls of ribbon?
Please note when ordering a LARGE QUANTITY of ribbon it may be necessary to extend the processing time to allow for stock to be ordered, it will usually add one week to your order.
Q. Can I place a rush order?
If you are in a hurry you may add the Rush Order Fee to your purchase. Your order will then be moved up in the queue to be processed within 1 to 2 days; this does not alter shipping times, nor does it apply if you are placing an order for large quantities of ribbon.
Q. Will I be able to order ribbon in the color I want?
We now offer 24 ribbon colors and 29 print colors. Please see our color charts to help you select the best combinations for your printing. (Insert Link)
Our 24 Non-Shinny Print Colors include: Antique Gold, Bronze, Ginger, Cocoa, Black, White, Royal, Navy, Burgundy, Matte Silver, Gray, Kelly Green, Hunter/Forest, Sage, Lemon, Lime, Pink, Plum, Orange, Tomato, True Red, Violet, Blueberry, and Raspberry.
Metallic Red & Metallic Blue, print best on dark colors, as does white.
Our 5 Metallic (Shiny) Print Colors include Red, Blue, Gold, Silver, and Rose Gold.
We also offer Washable Black to sew in labels.
The following Print Colors are available by special request for orders of 50 yards of ribbon or more. Blueberry, Bronze, Ginger, Hunter, Lemon, Lime, Metallic Blue, Metallic Red, Plum, Pumpkin, Raspberry, Sage, Tomato, Red, Violet. Please ask before ordering!
Our Ribbon Colors include Aquamarine, Orange, Fuchsia, Buttercream/Ivory, Red, Champagne/Lt. Gold, Brown, Pink, Yellow, Emerald/Kelly Green, Purple, Latte/Old Gold, Black, Lilac, Burgundy, Navy, Pearl, Silver/Gray, Powder Blue, Royal Blue, White, Green Apple, Forest Green, and Teal.
Q. Are all of the colors available in each of the ribbon sizes?
The colors listed are for most ribbon sizes, but not all sizes are available in every color. Please check the size you want to order for color availability.
Q. Can I place an order for a color that is listed as sold out?
From time to time some colors may be temporarily sold out.
Please check with us to see when a color will become available again before you place an order. Availability will be updated as soon as new shipments arrive.
Q. What does SP mean next to a color I want to order?
If we do not normally carry the color you want in a particular size we may be able to special order it for you. Please let us know if you would like to purchase ribbon with this designation and we will check on its availability before you place an order.
Q. I see N/A next to a color I want to order, what does this mean?
When a color is marked N/A it means the color is not available in that size.
Q. Do you offer any washable print colors?
We offer Washable Black for sewing in labels.
Q. How can I order a sew in a label?
Sew in labels come uncut on a roll. To place an order for labels please provide the information you would like to have printed on your label and any artwork, or a suggestion of something you would like to have printed. Include the label size and print area dimensions in your order information. There will be an initial set up charge to set design your label for your first order. Your layout will be saved for future reprinting. No additional set up fee will be charged for reprints of the same label layout.
Q. How much is set up charges?
Set up is usually “Free” but fees may be necessary if your design requires specialized or complicated design features.
Free set up includes one line of print with one standard clip art (if desired) for by the yard, or favor ribbon purchases.
When necessary special set up charges begin at $15 for the first 15 minutes, additional time is charged at $60/hour. You will only be charged for the amount of time it takes to work with your logo, or set up.

2 Lines of Text – $4
3 Lines of Text – $6
Q. Can I order a longer Banner or Floral Sash?
Banners and Floral Sashes come in a standard length of 4 feet. You can increase the length of your 4” wide ribbon Banner or Sash for $3 per extra 1 foot of ribbon.
Q. What are special design fees?
Designs
with fine line text (not bold enough) are fussy designs and require extra time
to tweak and print.

words may be too small to print well and need to be resized.
Memorial Ribbons that have multiple names or very long sentiments may need to
be printed with 2 – 3 lines of text.
Some people ask me to match fonts on invitations and this falls under Special
Design Fees.
Q. What sizes of ribbon do you carry?
We offer single faced Poly-Satin Ribbon in 3/8”, 5/8”, 7/8”, 1”, 1 3/4”, and 4” sizes in most colors. 3” ribbon is now available in limited colors.
Q. Can you print the font style I want?
– I can print in most font text styles except those with very thin/fine line work like Didot Font. I am building my font library all the time. If you have a particular font style in mind please message me and I will try to obtain it for you, or if you have it send me the font file.
Q. Can I send you my favorite clip art file?
If you have a special clip art in mind please send it to me. No matter what print color you choose it needs to be black on a white background in photo format to print well!
Q. Will I receive a proof before you print my order?
If you require photo proof of the layout before I print please state this in your Notes along with the wording spelled correctly. Please double check your spelling as I am not responsible for misspelled words, or capitalization errors.
Q. Can I have my ribbons sent to me pre-formed?
Cut and formed ribbon services are available upon request and start at + $0.35/piece for favor ribbons. Additional fees are charged for lapel ribbons and large bows.
Q. I’m not sure which font style to pick, how can I see the way a particular font will look on my ribbon before I order?
We have provided a custom layout designer for your convenience. You can enter your message in the layout designer to see how it will look before you place your order. Please give it a try. Or you can try out your font choices in your word processor on your computer.

Q. I’m not computer savvy, can someone help me design a ribbon?
Custom orders are welcome! I will work with you to achieve the look and finished product you are seeking. Design charges may apply if the process is time consuming.

Q. Will I receive the items shown in the photo with my ribbon?
Any props shown in the photos are for ideas of how to use the ribbon and do not come as part of your order. You will receive the ribbon size you order printed with your message. The ribbon will come uncut.
Q. How much ribbon does it take to make a bow?
It takes 45″ – 60″ of 1” wide ribbon to make a 7 to 9 loop bow with tales.
